Roni Horn
n°15

Roni Horn (born 1955) lives and works in her native New York.

Since 1975, she has made extended trips to Iceland that have formed the basis of an essential part of her creative endeavours. Her work is mutiform; difficult to categorize: concerned with the living and the real (landscape, portraits) as well as with the conceptual and the abstract (installation, language). She often combines these elements and practices in artist's books.

Here in Point d'Ironie are a selection of outtakes from Pooling Waters, the 4th volume in the series To Place, 1994. In particular a collection that focuses on social activity in the presence of the naturally heated waters of Iceland, tender surreal and practical.
