Gilbert & George
n°22

For the second time and because we admire them so much, "Gilbert and George" are back with a new issue of Point d'Ironie. Their art life together began during the late 1960s, when they were students at the Saint Martin's School of Art in London.

Known for their tailored suits, Gilbert and George present themselves as living works of art, and develop their signature style through brightly colored pictures, videos; drawings and living sculptures.

In this issues of Point d'Ironie, created for their exhibition "The Art of Gilbert and George", 2001, personal ads taken from the newspaper are juxtaposed with a triptych "Class War" - "Militant" - "Gateway", highlighting the relationships between individuals and the communities to which they belong.
